The
author has discusses on the current situation on the professional development
of Secondary Vocational School teachers in China. The secondary school become
popular and have increase enrolment due
to rapid development of vocational education. The author mention that teachers
in secondary vocational school. The authors mention that teachers in
secondary schools vocational play an important role in providing a high level
of training to students to meet the expectations of the industry for skilled
workers . The main thing is the willingness of teachers
according to the authors, most of the existing teacher does not want to
increase the skills to be a priority due to the lack of motivation, curriculum
content that is due to the old, not the latest equipment and lack of
collaboration between university
and enterprises and lack management of
teacher professional development and measures of teacher tracking training. The
author also states that teachers are likely to continue their studies
in the areas of interest alone is not a required field in school.
The authors mentioned
several expectation , The authors state several research questions in the current
situation to identify special education, professional activities that can
improve teachers, teacher development factor, mememerlukan involvement
activities, and this is an important issue that must be addressed in order to
promote teacher professional development plan.
The data is taken from survey conducted among
professional backbone teachers , who participated in national-level training of
nationwide secondary school. 136 questionaire were distributed, 97 recovered,
84 valid questionnaire .The authors used SPSS 16 regression techniques to test
his assumptions. The tables were well organised. The dependent variable was
clearly stated in all tables. A survey instrument was not provided, but several
of the question from the audiens were quoted in the article.
Using the variety of statistical methods the
authors demonstrates a number of interesting findings. A frequency analysis
shows that teacher are not ready to further study or not going to take part on
autonomous activities rather than stated conventional activities revealing that
time is the biggest obstacle. The independent variable that measured weather a
respondent was a willingness to develop professional teaching was a time . It
affecting the professional development of secondary vocational teachers.
several conclusion and consideration were
drawn from this research , supporting the teacher from down motivation on
further study . However, the finding that time is obstacles and school rules
and regulation was larger cause which hinder the teacher to further study.
